Service Description
Our in-home evaluation allows us to assess your dog in their everyday environment and better understand the behaviors you’re experiencing. During this session, we’ll observe behavior, structure, engagement, and responses to guidance while discussing your goals, routine, and household setup. This helps us determine the most effective training approach and recommend a plan tailored specifically to your dog and lifestyle. This evaluation is informative, low-pressure, and designed to provide clarity before moving forward.
Cancellation Policy
South Jersey K9 In-Home Evaluation Policy & Waiver The in-home evaluation is conducted for the purpose of assessing a dog’s behavior, environment, and training needs. This session is observational and informational in nature and does not constitute a full training program or guarantee specific results. Handling Equipment & Safety For safety and assessment purposes, I understand and agree that my dog may be required to be on a slip leash and/or martingale collar for portions of the evaluation. The use of this equipment is not punitive and is used solely for control, safety, and communication. If I am not comfortable with the use of this equipment, I understand that I must disclose this prior to booking, and South Jersey K9 reserves the right to decline or modify the evaluation for safety reasons. Dog Handling & Disclosure I acknowledge that South Jersey K9 trainers may handle my dog during the evaluation. I agree to fully disclose any known history of aggression, biting, or serious behavioral concerns prior to the evaluation. Failure to disclose known risks may result in immediate termination of the session without rescheduling. Owner Responsibilities I agree that during the evaluation: All other pets will be securely managed unless otherwise discussed Children will be supervised at all times My dog is in good health and up to date on required vaccinations as applicable under New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania law I will follow all trainer instructions to ensure safety Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability I understand that working with dogs involves inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, or property damage. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my dog’s participation and hereby release, waive, and hold harmless South Jersey K9, its owners, trainers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, injuries, damages, or losses arising from or related to the in-home evaluation, under the laws of the State of New Jersey and/or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Scheduling Evaluations are not confirmed until a date and time are selected. Last-minute cancellations require a $25.00 deposit fee for any future bookings. Consent By booking an in-home evaluation, I confirm that I have read and agree to this Policy & Waiver, consent to the use of appropriate handling equipment, and am the legal owner or authorized handler of the dog being evaluated.
